Poems Here are selected every week solely by my discretion. I feel every writing should contain a message which must change the reader's perspective somehow. so before a poem qualifies to be pasted for the week then it's had an effect on more that ten people. Yes, I test them on people before I put them here for you. Today's poem asks why a young man ended his life without thinking about the people that he left behind. It was  written by Sylvia Allison.

Did You Take Time ?

Starting the day with terrible news
A sickening thought as I refuse
To believe this could happen to someone
Did you take time to think of this thing you've done ?
Everyone has problems and shattered dreams
We all need help with answers it seems
There's someone out there who could've listened to you
Did you take time to think of those you knew ?
Quite a handsome young man with a smile so sweet
Had a delightful personality, I thought was neat
You'll certainly be missed in everyway
Did you take time to stop and pray ?
This wasn't the right way to end it all
What were you thinking, what made you fall
So far down to end your life this way
Did you take time to think what anyone would say ?
Only two knew why your life ended like this
God and you, did you ask for forgiveness ?
So sorry it had to end this way
Wished I knew you took time to look up and say ?
" God forgive me for ending my life
Can't take the pain of this toil and strife
This is the only way I know how
I'm taking the time to ask you now,
FORGIVE ME ! "

God Be With You !
